To accelerate the construction of a modern textile industry system and continue to maintain and enhance China's filament weaving industry’s competitive advantage, the 2023 China filament weaving industry technology innovation seminar with the theme of "digital innovation, green empowerment" was held in Wangjiangjing Town, Jiaxing City on September 12.

This conference is hosted by the China Filament Weaving Association and the People's Government of Wangjiangjing Town, Xiuzhou District, Jiaxing City. It is one of the 2023 textile and clothing supply promotion and upgrading series activities by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Commerce. The conference invited experts, scholars, and upstream and downstream enterprises in the industry chain to focus on the current development situation of the filament weaving industry and to exchange and discuss new technologies, processes, and equipment related to green and low-carbon, digital transformation, and other aspects.

Consolidate joint efforts and focus on collaborative innovation in the industrial chain

Wangjiangjing Town is a famous weaving town in China and a bridgehead for Jiaxing's integration into the Yangtze River Delta. Chen Zheng, Deputy District Mayor of Xiuzhou District People's Government in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, stated that in recent years, Wangjiangjing Town has adhered to the dual wheel drive of modern textile and smart home, accelerated the intelligent transformation of traditional textile enterprises, and created an internationally first-class fashion textile advanced manufacturing cluster. In 2022, the industrial output value of the textile industry in Wangjiangjing Town reached 11.58 billion yuan, accounting for 58.8% of the total industrial output value of the town. Among them, the output value of the weaving industry exceeded 8.6 billion yuan, the output value of the printing, dyeing, and finishing industry exceeded 1.83 billion yuan, and the output value of the chemical fiber industry exceeded 1.15 billion yuan.

Chen Zheng stated that the meeting was held in Wangjiangjing Town, which built a platform for enterprise communication and cooperation and established a link between the government and enterprises. Xiuzhou District will also take this conference as an opportunity to strengthen industrial chain cooperation further, continuously increase technological transformation and research and development efforts, and promote industrial upgrading and product innovation.

The conference also invited industry experts, scholars, and business representatives to give special reports on new technologies, processes, and equipment related to green and low-carbon industries, digital transformation, and other aspects of the industry.
